Dear Readers,
Substack just congratulated me for faithfully publishing this weekly Sunday Blog for 130 weeks in a row. According to them, that’s longer than 97% of their writers. I don’t need this type of praise to keep going with my writing, but it was nice for me to realize this accomplishment. More importantly, it got me thinking about what I’d like to accomplish next with this platform!
Truly, what has meant the most to me in this adventure is the feedback I get from my readers - you! It’s been great to see how many of you are opening the Sunday morning email every week, and even more rewarding to hear your thoughts and feelings about my sharings. You inspire and influence me! We all get too many emails these days, and we must protect our energy for what really matters to us - I deeply appreciate that I have earned your attention, and I would like to build on that trust and connection that we have established with each other.
Many of you send me direct personal emails with your thoughts about my writings, and those are always wonderful to receive. If, when appropriate, you will consider adding your comments right in the comment section of my post, then others can see them and respond to you, and that’s how we create community here.
Another great place to connect is in Substack’s feature called “NOTES,” which enables a broader flow of conversation between readers and writers. I have started using this feature, and I would love to converse with you there! I post in notes several times a week (I might miss a few beats while I’m driving from Florida to Michigan, but I’ll be right back). Notes is like Substack’s social media feature, allowing readers and writers and creators to freely and spontaneously connect with each other in short form.
Please find me on NOTES right here: https://ellenlivingston.substack.com/notes
Once I get resettled in Michigan - this week is the big transition! - I aim to make Substack my primary online “home.” I love Substack because it encourages longer-form content, and because it now has the capacity to be everything I desire in an online platform. It will soon replace my website and newsletter completely. Substack stores my email list and my posts come directly to your inbox; it allows audio and video creations, live video, and even podcasting right on the platform. You can purchase my books and coaching sessions here (I’ll be adding these features soon). Best of all, everything I create here lasts and lasts (unlike social media platforms where content vanishes quickly), and my creations are completely owned by me - I can take them with me anywhere, anytime I want.
You can access any of my content whenever you wish, as it is all nicely organized and archived for you by Substack, on my home page here: ellenlivingston.substack.com
I will keep you posted as I bring new features to my Substack home. I look forward to fostering more communication and sense of community here, with you and with all of my dedicated readers. I imagine regular live Q&A sessions for my readers, and other interactive features in the future.
Thank you so very much for continuing to support my work, and inspiring me to keep writing and offering my unique perspectives on living a healthy, meaningful, and inspired life. My weekly blogs will always be free, but if you are able, and moved to do so, please consider upgrading to a paid subscription, or simply offering a donation of any amount you choose. Every little bit helps me continue to pour time into my writing, which I sincerely hope is making a positive difference in your life.
When you receive this post in your inbox, I will at last be ON THE ROAD IN MY NEW VAN-HOME!! I plan to land in Michigan in late May, and to begin a new chapter near my adult children, and new grandchildren. I will have lots to share!
Many Blessings, love and light,
Ellen
Wising you all the best on your journey North, Ellen, and continue spreading the vegan message!
Good news, more Ellen on Substack!
