Hurricane Aftermath in Houston

I’ve been in Houston since Monday night, arriving at the tail end of Hurricane Beryl which hit Houston much harder than anticipated. I would have canceled my trip, except that I am here to help my brother who just finally got home after 2 months in hospital settings.

We’ve had no power since the storm, and it could be several more days we are told. It’s been hot & sweaty! Nights are the hardest. I sure wish there was more I could do to bring comfort to my brother.

I may have to skip a Sunday blog-post, as I have no internet and only a phone to work with, and I have to ration the use of it until we have electricity again.
