Sharing my personal DAILY practice for high-frequency alignment
Back in November, I expanded my daily morning practice to lift my spirits through the long period of cold gray Michigan wintertime. It was my first northern winter again after 5 years living in Florida year-round. I knew I would need a self-care plan to keep my energy and frequency on high!
First, I invested in a wood-stove and outdoor sauna for my new Michigan home, and lots of indoor plants. All of those props helped me re-create the comforts of the more tropical environment that I had become accustomed to in Florida.
Then one early morning, in the doldrums of a seemingly endless string of cold and gray sameness, I put on an energetic and inspiring song, turned up the volume, and danced around my living room. Pretty soon I was on song number 5, dancing and singing my heart out and feeling like I had absolutely defeated the icy white mood outside my window. It was so energizing and uplifting that I decided right then and there to add this to my daily morning centering practice.
Since that day, my morning practice has generally looked like this:
Short gratitude meditation (7 minutes)
Organic movement: starting slowly with a quieter song and some basic stretches and gentle movements, just feeling into every joint in my body, then amping up with some fun and inspiring songs and vigorous dancing and singing :). Generally a total of 4-6 songs (see links below for song suggestions!)
Tea and journal-time for 20 minutes. I set a timer and journal free-form about whatever is on my mind or heart that day. “What do I need to know today?”
Longer Meditation: a 20-minute meditation (which may evolve into a silent solo barefoot walk in nature now that the weather is improving!)
I have been doing this for months now, nearly every day. Some mornings I may begin with a lowered energy from a restless or interrupted night….and this practice absolutely restores me on every level, every time. Obviously it cannot replace missed sleep, but it raises my vibrational point of attraction and insures a beautiful day regardless. That is powerful! And it can be your experience, too.
